I didn't send much. I know I probably shouldn't have but I made it clear I didn't have a job and didn't have any more money. I thought in the moment it was better to give them something so they considered it a success and move on but I know I probably shouldn't have.

There's not much more you can do now. Other than bluff it out and wait. There is a lesson here though. I think we need to value ourselves a little more than we do nowadays. Sharing ourselves intimately with all and sundry in person and electronically can backfire badly. We all seem to want instant satisfaction from all areas in our lives.
I'm not trying to judge anyone here. It may work for some but is catastrophic for others. Above all if we love and value ourselves a little more we can hopefully lessen these problems

I'm pretty sure it will be. You've definitly been the victim of a scam in my opinion. However much that counts!!
They took £50 from you. More than they expected I guess. You didn't say how long ago you sent the money. If it's a few days ago I would think that's it and they've long since moved on to the next victim.
Have you talked to your mum? My lads are 23 and 21 and I would be livid with them if they did it but they know that my bark is worse than my bite and I only bark for thirty seconds!!! Then it would be "action stations" to help them sort it out. If you don't have that support you can PM if you need help. For now I would suggest you try your very hardest to put it behind you if you can. You won't believe me now but one day you will laugh about it.

All this was happening as I made the thread so about an hour ago. It's been about that long since I deleted and blocked them.

Not told anyone about it, just told my aunt, uncle and sister who were listed on fb to block the person if they appear but didn't give the real reason for it.

Don't want to have to tell anyone about it.

I think it will be fine. If they come back again I'll just say no and tell them I've already told my family what happened.

go to the police she can get into SERIOUS trouble. If you dont she will do it to someone else, and the consequences can be deadly. People have committed suicide because of this.

It doesnt matter where the person is, go to the police and they will carry out an investigation. If someone is doing something illegal, then of course no matter where they are the police wouldnt just say 'oh thats to far away.'

To summarise:

-there is no way British police can catch the perpetrator. Ivory Coast is too far and too unorganised for them to have any power

-the 'girl' you watched was a prerecorded video. A man played it to you and watched you fiddle with yourself. He probably doesn't care what he saw, but maybe he secretly enjoyed it?

-if your face or other identifying features weren't in the video, you should have just deleted your account and not paid

-if it did have identifying features, probably would have been best to just pay like £10 and say that's all you have. It'll go a long way in the Ivory Coast and they'll be satisfied!

I know lots of people say you shouldn't have paid, but I think paying a smaller amount and blocking would have been best.
