What are your AS choices and why?

Just wondering what everyones A Level choices for September are and why. Feel free to discuss

Chemistry, biology, philosophy and ethics and history.

I'm hoping to go into Law, and as there are no subject requirements, I chose subjects that I'm interested in and that I enjoy. The latter two, being essay-based subjects, will help me if I get into law too.

Biology, Chemistry, Physics and EPQ. Biology & Chemistry - essential for Medicine. Physics - very interested in it. EPQ - Enables me to research more on a health condition I'm really interested in and happily present it at the end!

Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics - Keeping my options open, however, steering towards a degree in Economics, preferably at Cambridge or LSE. I am being encouraged to do an EPQ, however, I don't think I will do it as the stress levels with these subjects is likely to be very high.

Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics as I find these subjects greatly interesting and rather beautiful when you consider that a cell (biology) is made of elements (chemistry) and there are TRILLIONS (mathematics) in you alone!
I am also doing history, I am not sure about doing physics a level so I am thinking of history as it is a subject I like and find rather easy- maybe anyone could offer me advice on alevel physics?

maths and further maths - i enjoy maths
french - i enjoy french and want to get better at speaking spontaneously
physics - it goes with maths, don't like it as much as the other two but there's nothing else i'd rather do (perhaps economics but then my options feel a bit limiting)

I'm doing Maths, Futher maths and Government and politics - not chose a fourth subject yet.

I'm good at maths and I really enjoy it, I'm also really intrested in politics.

Why four subject? You're brain will implode under the amount of work! Stick with those three, that's more then enough.

No, in fact I'm thinking of dropping maths and futher maths for two other subjects as I'm finding the maths incredibly easy. Instead I would just sit them as a private candidate.

Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Basically because they're my favourite subjects and I could not imagine doing anything else.
Maybe the EPQ too if my school forces me to do it :emo:

English Literature - I absolutely love analysing texts because, unlike Maths or Science, there is not necessarily a right or wrong answer, which lets my imagination go (relatively) wild! I'm also keen to become an English teacher, so English Lit is essential for me.
French - in many ways, I think that French compliments English Lit because learning a foreign language has helped me to understand and appreciate the English Language on a deeper scale. Besides, I really enjoy French as I think that learning a language is such a liberating experience, hence why I'm considering whether to study a joint English and French degree at uni.
Sociology - just like English and French, I adore Sociology, which has opened my eyes to the ways in which the world functions.
Media - despite its reputation as a 'soft' subject, I think of Media as the practical use of English, while it will help me understand why it is such an influential agency of socialisation (Sociology). I'll probably only study Media in Year 12, but who knows?
General Studies - compulsory at my sixth form, but I will revise for it anyway - well, reading newspapers on a daily basis should already count, shouldn't it?
EPQ (maybe) - optional but I won't place myself under pressure to do it, especially in Year 12
