Some great film choices there!

Inglorious was the first film that I saw Christopher Waltz in and I was blown away - I think he's a brilliant actor  Love him in Django Unchained!

Agreed!! This is the movie I started being a fan of Christoph Waltz. He's so skilled and very detailed in his acting.

Well lots of movies have several different genres...

Action: Can't remember something strictly action I enjoyed enough to call it best tbh. I'd say The Avengers but then I'd have three superhero films on this list..
Thriller: The Dark Knight (I put this here because, for me, though it's also a superhero film, its suspense and pace are its key attributes)
Romance: 500 Days of Summer
Comedy: Airplane
Horror: The Shining
Adventure: LOTR, Return of the King in particular
Fantasy: The Empire Strikes Back (you can switch this with the above depending on which you think fits better..)
Superhero: The Incredibles

Pretty mainstream list

War Drama: 71: into the fire

Really? The rest of your list looks OK, but this is rather a wild-card pick, given the stiff competition in this genre; Saving Private Ryan, Apocalypse Now, Glory, Bridge on River Kwai, Schindler's List, Platoon, and about 200 others

I generally don't like war dramas that much, but this film stood out, so I chose it. Obviously, there could be better ones, but I haven't seen all films of this genre.
