It's a quote by Umar(ra):

"I fear the day when the disbelievers are proud of their falsehood and the muslims and shy of their faith"

I think that day has come.

I've studied it half my life (I feel like an old person saying that lol) but never took it seriously up until now.

Ofc. That's why I've chosen to study it :tongue:

Well I have a grammar book I've been reading recently which is quite good. But I asked my teacher today on a good grammar book, and he gave me one but he said he wouldn't recommend reading the books since they're really dry, you should just do exercises instead and get lots of practice from that.

Lets make the most of this opportunity now :smile:

Is one still a muslim if he doesn't pray? I ask as i haven't prayed in about 7 years apart from eid twice a year

Scholars differ on this issue.

Some say if one abandons prayer out of laziness then he is a disbeliever and left the fold of Islam.

Others say that leaving Salah out of laziness does not take one out of the fold of Islam.

What kind of Arab are you ?
It's more humid when it rains. This weather is depressing.

Asalaama'alaikum,

There are a number of things in the deen that I do not agree with morally, things that I imagine many others may find difficult but don't acknowledge or put much thought into it. These won't be new things for many of you who have discussed them with others online.

1. Apostasy. I do not believe anyone should be sentenced to death for not believing in the Quran and the Surah of the Nabi (saw). Full stop.

2. I do not believe adulterers deserve the death penalty. Killing does not prevent it or teach us anything about it other than to prescribe violent death onto something.

3. I cannot accept the idea that Aisha (ra) may have been only nine when she consummated her marriage. I cannot justify or reconcile that notion as moral in any way.

In regards to the above three, I have heard a variety of interpretations for them but I put it to you simply, assuming for the sake of argument that I have interpreted the above correctly, have I left the fold of Islam?
