£40 bluetooth headphones my ass!

I have to pay extra for headphones? I'm already paying like £550 for the phone. :indiff: I hope the iPhone 7 sales flunk because of this.

I've always thought that android phones are hella laggy though, is that true? :/

About four/five years ago I'd have said yes, but the new models are rapid.

I've had the HTC Wildfire (years ago lol), Samsung S4 mini and the Samsung S6. The S6 is just stunning - I love my phone and it's a damn sight cheaper than an equivalent iPhone. The camera isn't quite as good as iPhone (indoors, at least. In bright sunlight i don't know a camera that beats it tbh) but the phone itself i much prefer. I've also used Tab 2 and Tab S (?), and my sister has the smaller Tab S and the last two Notes... They're all fantastic, highly reliable devices. And you can drop them on concrete, down stairs etc and they don't shatter, which is definitely a bonus if you're clumsy like me ;D

Rest of my family use Lumias running windows and I really have no idea why. It's a slow, clunky operating system and the phones aren't the best quality - but, again, they are considerably cheaper and still pack a punch for battery life, screen resolution, etc.

Sorry for the ridiculously long comparison I just like to spread the love for Samsung ^^ so many people hate it without trying! Underrated phones IMO
Perfect time to move to android

I had an S6 and I thought the camera was miles ahead of anything out on the market in any situation at that time, until I upgraded to my S7  Not gonna lie I used to find Samsung products disgusting because they looked/felt cheap but with the S6 they fixed up and the S7 was what pushed me over. Imo Apple doesn't have the feature set/experience anymore to be charging so much more than its competitors, and now that they're removing the headphone jack it's just another thing to spend money on.

Even if you buy a lighting to 3.5mm converter, that means you can't charge it while listening to something, which unless they make it thicker and add a bigger battery will be a very big issue methinks. Headphones aren't like CDs where you have a better medium of delivering the content so unless Apple is planning something radical and universal that reads my thoughts when I want to listen to my laptop audio instead of my phone audio, I don't see this working out for them

Ahh I'm jealous - the S7 looks fantastic.
I know what you mean - the white plastic turned a lot of people off, but when I got my S4 it was nicer than the chunky iPhones - the 5 changed that tbf.

Apple products seem to be really cult - most people I know have only ever had iPods, iPhones, iPads, never tried an android tablet or phone The android operating system is quicker and easier to use IMO. Plus the android phones themselves are all different, like the heart rate monitor - not something i cared about while buying it but I use it quite regularly... And the actual phone hardware aside, contracts with iPhones are so much more expensive (and have less data).

No headphone jack is just a further way to try to alienate their customers into using , Only. Apple. Products.. and you'll be paying a premium for the phone itself, nevermind extra, what probably £50+ for some earphones? Might be witnessing the start of the end here...!

There was an interesting article in Focus this month about how the phone makers are starting to move away from the standard, new models with slightly bigger screen, better camera & higher res, and are looking at actually mixing up the formula. There's a few modular phones coming out (like the google one we were promised years ago), that promise to provide a range of more specialised functions... Unless are cooking up something huge, I can't see them competing in that market.

It'll be an interesting few years for the phone market, anyway. ^^

I made the switch to Samsung and I never looked back. My S6 Edge is a dream.
I'll buy the iPhone 6 on eBay when the 7 comes out and everyone will be flogging their old phones for silly prices

Not really, my £150 Android phone has better technical specs than the latest iPhone.

Have you guys tried the Oneplus 3, I have it and it's amazing, s6 edge level I would say, nearly as good as the s7 for half price
6gb ram 64gb storage for £300

This is old news, sorry! Honestly, just buy a Note 7, Huawei, or Oneplus.

Point: It's said in the video that it isn't a real "iPhone 7", actually just one company's interpretation.

So, don't get too mad yet.

(p.s. don't buy a note 7. get a Nexus 6P. they're great. I own one. would recommend)
