would it make you happier if we replace every instance of coin with "random binary generator" and turn it into a group theory problem?

Yes that would make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Btw way how much should we charge people for these step formula book mousemats? Maybe it can get use through first year.ImageUploadedByStudent Room1470414584.178613.jpg

It is just an usual coin as every other!
This is an Oxbridge interview question!
There should be a mathematical explanation behind this.

Oxford or Cambridge?

If it's Cambridge I know there's a logical answer  Otherwise idk...

My school never gave me the choice to apply to Oxbridge, maybe because I was in Year 11 but I am sure it was similar for some of my friends in Year 13, so I had to push the school myself to tell me how all this admission works

No **** sherlock haha. They didnt give u the choice to apply cause ur like 12 years old.
Btw my earlier comment of 'I will let you figure the mystery out' was a joke lol.

The expected value of the game over nn flips is 50n25n=+25n50n - 25n = +25n cents, so I'd continue to play indefinitely since probability dictates I'll end up with all your money if we play long enough.

They look lovely  (I've got a clock whose markings are a bunch of maths symbols so not judging), although I'd hate to have that dangling on my ears - looks heavy.
