I've never actually been to Pride but would love to.

Is it free? I barely know anything about it! Maybe someone could set up a Guide/FAQ to Pride

I think some are free and some need tickets - it probably depends on the size of the Pride!

That sounds like an excellent idea :yep:
:h: yay!
Oh god. Brighton pride. Guess my plans to go to Brighton this weekend are off.

There is no "need" for Gay pride. especially in this country.

Ok you want reasons why I am not going to brighton.

1. Streets will be PACKED I don't really want to go there when there will be tons and tons of people
2. I don't really like loud noises
3. There have been fights and problems during the past. and sadly a gay pride parade is somewhere I could see some Terrorism happening.

But please do explain why we need gay pride.

1. Other events and festivals have this too.

Because so many people are so narrow minded and unaccepting, even just on this thread there is evidence of this.

Sorry, but why on earth does it affect you in any way whatsoever?

Realistically, even if there were absolutely no homophobia or discrimination here - which obviously isn't the case - it's still a chance for people to celebrate, as well as to raise awareness of the awful situation LGBT+ people have in other countries.

Whilst there is still negative attitudes towards LGBT+, and there are people afraid to come out, there is every need for Pride.

I don't go to many festivals or events.
If it was a straight white male pride event and it drew such large crowds I would not go to it.
