What excites you the most about starting uni? [Golden Thread]

What excites me the most about starting uni is the dorms! This may sound strange but I'll explain; first off I went to summer school last month at a uni to so I got to experience uni life and it was nice to finally have my own room (as I currently share with my sister), you can stay in your room and have some peace and quiet or you can socialise literally anywhere else in the dorm (the hallway - we tried this before we went into the kitchen, someone's room/ your own, the kitchen). Secondly all the people in my flat were really nice, on the first night we all got together in the kitchen and had a very long conversation (but very interesting as it lasted for hours) We all got on so well and by the end of it all I felt like I had known them for years, so it's not surprising that I was sad to see them go (but don't worry, as we've arranged to meet up soon). Thirdly, all the people in your dorm have come from various parts of the country (and the world!), and you wouldn't normally meet them if you weren't in this situation, (someone in my flat was from Cardiff, which isn't very far away considering she could have been from example Australia, but that's still pretty far!).
The new environment! I will go to London which holds many events and lots of things to do all the time, I'm a city girl afterall!

Studying something that I really enjoy
Depending on my results, I'm really looking forward to the independence and the chance to come into my own.
Being able to experience new things by myself and getting to have way more freedom than my little island gives me (also McDonald's and Krispy Creme😍)
Cooking all my own strange meals without my family looking perplexed at my concoctions haha, and of course I'm looking forward to meeting a wide range of people from lots of intriguing backgrounds
Being able to plan my own meals and getting to meet my flatmates who I have already started to talk to on here and on facebook.
Moving away from all the *****y, selfish horrible people from where I live to a much nicer community in a different part of the country :ahee::ahee::ahee:

Moving out.
Loads of things! Starting my course, going to a new city, moving out, making friends, being responsible, being able to do my own thing- I can't pick just one!

Sitting in the kitchen chatting at 3am on a Wednesday morning when nobody has been on a night out is one of the most underrated parts of uni life. I don't know why but I love it too.
Moving to a different country
banging hoes
Being able to pop down to tescos at 10:01 pm without mother dearest lassoing me back to bed.
