What excites you the most about starting uni? [Golden Thread]

Freedom, new friends, new city, having to choose the subjects

Meeting people from all walks of life and exploring the subject I love

What excites me the most about starting uni is the dorms! This may sound strange but I'll explain; first off I went to summer school last month at a uni to so I got to experience uni life and it was nice to finally have my own room (as I currently share with my sister), you can stay in your room and have some peace and quiet or you can socialise literally anywhere else in the dorm (the hallway - we tried this before we went into the kitchen, someone's room/ your own, the kitchen). Secondly all the people in my flat were really nice, on the first night we all got together in the kitchen and had a very long conversation (but very interesting as it lasted for hours) We all got on so well and by the end of it all I felt like I had known them for years, so it's not surprising that I was sad to see them go (but don't worry, as we've arranged to meet up soon). Thirdly, all the people in your dorm have come from various parts of the country (and the world!), and you wouldn't normally meet them if you weren't in this situation, (someone in my flat was from Cardiff, which isn't very far away considering she could have been from example Australia, but that's still pretty far!).
