Don't understand how someone can even open their mouths to say they have a degree in Women's Studies
Yes there are that many registered users. But that number is considerably smaller when you account for the fact that not many who regularly look at the forum let alone even contribute to the forum. And Women's studies is primarily a masters program, which also restricts the age group that you can deal with.

My point is that you shouldnt really be surprised that you havent got anyone who does the course here.
I have never heard of it. What actually is it?

My guess is that only the very wealthy can really afford to study it. Ordinary people usually have to focus on gaining a degree which enhances employment prospects for the most part. Those who are wealthy have the luxury of being able to study whatever they like without having to worry about the social consequences of their choice because they are financially stable
It's basically part of sociology and anthropology right?
No one probably wants to admit it tbh

I'm presuming it's a specialised sociology degree focusing on women throughout history and the relatively recent developments in feminism.

TSR is full of Oxbridge students though, I know for a fact that one of Oxford or Cambridge offers it as a masters course.

Is there a year in industry working at starbucks or pret?
Probably just acts like a huge echo-chamber for women to moan about perceived injustices.

Do they do Women's Studies in the UK? I know it's in the USA.

As someone already pointed out, it's probably just sociology and maybe some women-centred history elements. Maybe some film or literature based on the module. Basically, the most inoffensive thing ever but it has "women" in the title so...LOL wimmenz make-up hair they be crazy, amirite??

It's basically a degree in sociology/politics/history/economics.

I don't see why this any different from any more specialised area in any other subject...

I bet a Nuclear Fission Physics course is just one big echo chamber to talk about atoms and how great nuclear fission is as an energy source.

What a waste of time.

LOL

Thanks for this, it's just a shame it doesn't really say what you would study in detail

No, they echo and moan about nuclei, not atoms.
