Dark, depressing, moody rock songs?

I like:
The cure - the figurehead
Alice in chains - would, man in the box
Radiohead - jigsaw falling into place

This is quite an obvious one but I'll add it to the list before someone else, Guns n Roses - November rain

Both Joy Division albums. Not sure how much darker and more depressing you can get.

What I've suggested probably has the most miserable riff it is possible to create

Spotify? Ceding custody of my curated collection to a nebulous, faceless, insidious conglomerate of mass-media stakeholders who could, at any time, unilaterally elect to revoke access by dint of nothing more than a mercurial, mercenary whim? Christ, no: I have Foobar2000, and countless thousands of authentic FLAC rips which will abide with me until the demise of either electronic storage, or my corporeal self, copyright and corporate venality be damned.

Nevertheless, I'll heed the spirit of the request and see whether I can't muster some more morbid melancholia for your dolorous delectation. Watch this space.

Nice. I'll come back for some of those.

Although I'll swap that Placebo song for this one-
