I don't think an 18 year old just being attracted to a 14 year old is particularly alarming - it's not like she would have been pre-pubescent. I agree that acting on it was pretty poor judgement of him but it seems a bit harsh to hold hold that against him when it was 8 years ago. You'd obviously be right to be concerned it he were still attracted to 14 year olds though.

Here they'd both be 14. Otherwise, that 18-year old would be getting his legs broken by the 14-year old's 15-year old brother who just finished serving his third prison sentence.

It's morally questionable but it was a while ago and he didn't have sex with her. There are far worse things someone can do. Maybe bring up your discomfort with it and see where he stands on his behaviour in hindsight
