"Roses" - A good AS level art theme or not?

planning on basing my unit 1 AS level art on the theme "Roses" - What do you think? Is it too 'narrow'?

Yes, the theme of roses could be a very good idea. Artists take simple ideas and expand on them by making them more interesting. If you can do that then your art project will be as good as any other. Here's some ideas to get you thinking.
