The root cause is still, too many people

Solid argument.
Is the root cause of high murder rates too many people as well?

Well no. The root cause is there is no discipline in this country, and the fact we give any rights to criminals. Once they are convicted, they shouldn't have any.

There is only a crisis as there isn't enough houses right? Who for? Oh yes, our over populated country.

Other parts and counties of he world are a lot bigger than us but have a vastly smaller population.

Of course demand for houses is a factor but isn't the root cause of the crisis. Plain and simple we aren't building enough houses.
Population growth happens EVERYWHERE yet many countries don't seem to be facing the problems we do.

We were building over 350,000 houses a year in the seventies when there was a smaller population, yet we only manage to build around half of that now.
If the root cause was high demand as you say due to over population wouldn't we expect to see house production be above levels in the seventies?

The people who build the houses don't want to build enough houses to satisfy demand - they want to build at the rate which maximises their income. For them the optimal rate to build houses is one where they can keep building, but there is a constant shortage keeping the prices high. We will never have enough houses while the house builders control the supply.

Exactly, it isn't just a demand side issue, it's mainly supply.

christ don’t you hate it when rightists call actual socialist “liberals” :/

"Liberal left" wtf is the liberal left? Even so I'm what I like to call a 'proper leftist'.

Your lot are even worse. I wouldn't trust a socialist to run anything.

From what?

A private medical provider. All my check ups and any medical attention I need are done at a private hospital. Not an NHS one.

Incorrect the amount of countryside built on in the uk is something like 2 or 3 % for all the houses in the U.K. Currently

Wrong, it's actually around 10% urban.

The 2% thing is a very misleading figure that basically only looks at what is "built on" - it ignores things like parks, open areas, allotments, urban green space, etc. All stuff which is still part of the urban area (and therefore part of housing developments).

Apart from its highly likely you're using a computer that was designed and built by a capitalist company. Typical lefties, all talk - no action.

You're all basically: "I hate capitialism, excuse me while I go and buy a Macbook"

For a start, it was the manual labourers, who may I say are paid very little, who produced this, not a ****ing ideology you numpty. If I also went and acted according to Marxism then I couldn’t live because we’re in a Capitalist society. If the world suddenly went on the path to Socialism I can assure you that the factories would keep humming.

Yeah but capitialism let the idea and company flourish, giving them their job.

You could live, you just couldn't have "nice things", which obviously you deem more important than what you believe in. Typical Champagne socialist aren't you?

Obviously you're not from the countryside. That's the typical attitude of the metropolitan bubble.

Actually my Grand parents were farmers and I used to spend around 3 months a year there.

It's simply facts

So no you aren't is he simple answer.

And no its not. The left wing of this country won't be happy until all greenery is built on and we are squashed in shoulder to shoulder like sardines. Then they'll still say we need more people.

No it's not wrong that figure includes all the countries roads, industrial space, houses, gardens, parks etc.

2 or 3 percent is simply the footprint of houses.

The m6 is going to be there regardless of houses and gardens/parks are more environmentally friendly than a barren field

Ah right didn't realise spending a quarter of the year doesn't give me an appreciation for the ideas and values of people that live in the countryside.....

Also for that you mention to happen the population would need to be something like 600 million which is more than the entire population of the eu lol.

Not in your case it doesn't. You've shown that.

Yeah I know, they'd still want more!
