And integration doesn't mean banning their cultural/native clothing styles...

Well yes it does, integration can not occur unless the new comers give up their existing cultural practices, at least most of them.

So according to you, anyone who doesn't wear jeans and a t-shirt, or a suit and tie, or otherwise western-sourced clothing isn't integrated? What world do you live in?

Integration isn't based on something as basic as clothes mate.

Nonsense. Integration doesn't require giving up one's native culture; almost all of the minority groups retain their distinct cultural identities while contributing to society and being law-abiding citizens.

@OP Of course it's misogynistic. No one asked the Muslim women about this. "We'll liberate you by telling you what not to wear". What a joke.

Any women who doesn't walk around topless is oppressed/extremist!

Yes it is, someone is not integrated into society if they are wearing clothes that most people don't wear, also, if someone doesn't wear the same cloths, they are likely to do a lot of other things different than the norm.

Contributing to society (whatever that is) and being law-abiding does not equal to integration in any way shape or form.

This is pure nonsense
Someone can be British-born, drink tea, eat fish and chips daily, drink at the pub, attend a British university, work for a British company, follow British laws and celebrate British holidays, but if they wear foreign clothes they aren't integrated according to you. Lmfao.

Sure it does. Contribution to society includes working, paying taxes, giving back to society in the form of charity work, etc. Obeying the laws, which are shaped by the prevailing cultural, is sufficient integration.

Anything more and you defy personal liberty; drinking for example, is part of Irish culture. Should they make alcohol consumption compulsory for minorities who come from cultures that look down upon alcohol consumption?

Why is it right for the French to ban a harmless item of clothing?

An item of clothing that represents the quintessential misogyny of a disgusting ideology.

I brought a communist-star hat from China when I visited in 2013

should that be banned too? lmfao

If France were majority Muslim and they voted to make Burqa's compulsory for everyone of all faiths, I presume you would also support that, because it is democracy right.

But that's the the crux. France is not majority Muslim. And it has every reason to fight becoming majority Muslim because if that would happen, it would be a tragedy.

Are you triggered everytime you see a Muslim women wearing a burqa? You should probably stay at home for your own mental well-being instead of forcing people to take off clothes you don't like.

Does it trigger you that there are people who see through all your ******** and call you out for following an archaic, misogynistic, oppressive, dangerous ideology?

Don't pretend you give a **** about Islam being oppressive, you quite obviously hate it because of the actions of terrorists.

What about Christianity which says you can't talk bad about your father? And that you should be killed if you work on the Sabbath? And pretty much any religion which implies that you won't have a luxurious afterlife if you don't do x y z.

You hate Islam because it feels good to blame your problems on a foreign entity.

And what idealogy would that be? Are you another child left behind who can't fathom the idea of a non-Muslim supporting freedom of religion and the right to wear whatever we want?

So you presume to know more about my motivation than I do?

That's a really strong argument. You want to message me the response I should write to this comment of yours?
