UKCAT for 2017 entry..Decision Analysis

can you skip the whole Decision Analysis section ? and leave it all blank ?
as it does not count this year.
Yeah you can. A popular strategy seems to be to take five minutes to compose yourself and make sure you know how to use the calculator with the test center key board, and then move on to QR.
Really? How does one do that? On the website it said to take it seriously so I've been scared.

Good morning,

The reason that UKCAT ask you to take the Decision Making section seriously is because they will use data from this year's applicants to decide whether to use the new section in future exams.

If you don't do the section, they have no data! It is true, however, that you should be able to skip the entire section. It says on the official website:

"your performance in this subtest will not contribute to your final score, will not be communicated to your chosen medical and dental schools and will not be taken into consideration by universities during their admission process"

So, if you scored 100% or 0% in this part, it technically shouldn't matter.

There is one thing to note before you decide whether or not you are going to attempt this part of the test. We think it's never a good idea to switch off your brain completely in the midst of an exam. We've got a little blog explaining Decision Making here if you want to check it out

Good luck with the rest of your revision, and the test! We've got our fingers crossed for you!
