What do people think about chemistry?? (AQA)


Angry for chemistry unit 4, Aqa only decreased the grade boundaries by 2 marks despite national outrage with petitions :// yet chemistry unit 2 has decreased by 14 marks?!?!

i know i feel the same!!! glad i retook unit 2 so can boost up my ums as i will be losing lots in chem 4....

Same I found Chem 2 okay as well, just hope Chem 4 will not drag my grade down as I've probably failed that unit 😬

To save myself checking last yrs tomorrow morning, I'm just posting the grade boundaries for all my subject exams last year to compare.

Philosophy AS - 57/80 for an A
German AS Speaking - 43/50 for an A
German AS Writing/Reading/Listening - 91/110 - for an A
Sociology A2 Beliefs (unit 3) - 38/60 for a B or 33/60 for a C (I have high hopes...as u can tell)
Sociology A2 Crime (unit 4) - 51/90 for a B or 44/90 for a C

holy **** those sociology ones giving me hope as im sure i ballsed up the unit 4 exam but i only need to get a B overall (have an A at AS) to be fine for uni.


Okay woo, now:

Philosophy AS - 56/80 for an A (1 lower) !! German AS Speaking - 43/50 for an A (same) !! German AS Writing/Reading/Listening - 90/110 - for an A (1 lower) !! Sociology A2 Beliefs (unit 3) - 38/60 for a B or 33/60 for a C (same) !! Sociology A2 Crime (unit 4) - 49/90 for a B or 42/90 for a C (2 lower) !! Thank GOD none of mine went up and what a relief they lowered the Sociology unit 4 as that's the worst I did on.

Any examiner reports or mark schemes for AQA released?

There is hope for geo and physics, however maths on the otherhand seems out of reach with those grade boundaries
59% for an A in AQA new spec Biology? Am I reading that correctly?

I don't understand how exam reports or mark schemes could have been released ? They're only released like months after the exams are sat surely ? And to teachers only ?.. So how are people asking for them now lol

PSYA4 seems okay, but I thought PSYA3 would lower? I didn't do gender, but apparently that question messed everyone up. Sociology Unit 4 seems okay


I did sociology, I thought Unit 3 would be higher considering how everyone including me loved it, however it's good for me because I'm pretty much guaranteed an U in unit 4 so I hope my unit 3 can balance it out.

they're available to teachers right now. both markschemes and examiners reports.

All of the edexcel markschemes have already been released/leaked ...
I'm 100% sure aqa chem 4 will bring my grade down. It's barely changed from 2015 but was some insane paper. Didn't do great in the empa too :/

who else did WJEC sciences? how do you feel? Biology is very calming.
Whoa why are the AQA AS bio and chem grade boundaries so Low or am I calculating something wrongly
