You people haven't lived until you have had Halloumi cheese

Of course you might die of a heart attack after - its really bad for you.

Why is it bad for you?
I have 3 favs

1) Cheddar
2) Feta
3) Mozzarella.
Oh I forgot Gruyere. Goes great with Saucisson Sec.

How about Paneer anyone? It's lovely in curry...quite subtle.
question invalid:colonhash:

all cheese is the best cheese
(except goats cheese)
Red Leicester. Red Leicester is life, Red Leicester is love...

Best for what?

I wouldn't want a brie sandwich, or grated Edam on pasta, or blue Stilton on a pizza.

are you kidding?
i eat brie sandwiches for breakfast (with buttered toast instead of normal bread)
or maybe
im just weird:colonhash:
Cheshire Cheese. It's the oldest cheese in the world, first produced by monks, I think. It is moist, crumbly and melts very well. Just divine with lettuce on a sandwich.

How is mozzarella doing so well? Eaten alone its texture is rubbery and it tastes bland. You all just like it on pizza but I've had pizzas with better toppings than mozzarella.

I'm getting unreasonably angry over cheese.

Don't you mean you are un-cheese-onably angry?

Brie is delicious in a sandwich, especially toasted. Great brie combo's inclue brie, bacon and cranberry (especially delicious at Christmas time) and only yesterday I had a brie, ham and avocado bagel.

Too many cheeses falling under 'other' in the poll XD

What about: Parmesan? Paneer? Ricotta?

omg Paneer is so good as well! There are too many amazing types of cheese.

It's the most disgusting cheese ever - it absolutely stinks and only dad's like it.

Today I will be asking one of lifes big questions!

What is the best type of cheese?

For me at the moment it is probably Edam (or Stilton, brie, Camembert... so many to choose from!)

How about you?

So where is Wensleydale on the list? And Roquefort? Not to mention President Camembert??

Aha, toasted makes all the difference - for a plain cold sandwich/roll it needs to be thick cut cheddar, preferably with Branston pickle.

For toasties/bagels anything goes really.
