Biology: Predicted A/ Achieved A (had no gcse background in biology so was ecstatic) Chemistry: Predicted A/ Achieved A (thought I messed up in paper 1 but apparently not so okay) Economics: Predicted A/ Achieved A (also thought I messed up in Paper 1) Mathematics: Predicted A/ Achieved A overall 100 in C1, 100 in C2, 89 in S1 (prolly gonna retake S1)
Mostly disappointed tbh. Econ was always going to be an A, and I'm very happy with physics because honestly wasn't sure if I'd even pass lol. History I just don't understand how I could've ****ed up that badly?? Grade boundary for an A was about 17.25 in each essay, and I always get 21+, maybe the occasional 18/19... Maths is a huge LOL - I'm a maths scholar hahaha. Only reason I got a C is because I got a high A in M1 (95UMS) which slightly counteracted the 56 and 54 in C1 and 2 respectively. I think this may have been partly because they were the exams I was most stressed and under pressure for, which is something I react incredibly badly to- end up just blocking it out- and they were also on the same day as history (my other surprisingly bad one). Luckily it's my one subject I can actually retake modularly I suppose, and I'm only 5 UMS off a B. Dreams of St. Andrews or Columbia kinda gone.
Are you really a maths scholar if you got 56 and 54?
AABB - Even though I'm applying for medicine, I'm still over the moon with these results because in my mocks mere weeks before my exams, I got BCDD so a massive improvement! 😊
Comments and reactions Didn't think my highest grade would be in Biology, thought I would get higher in Geography though. Pretty sure I've got the lowest out of everybody on TSR i'm so stupid.
