Question to Cambridge/Oxford Students

Everybody knows that Oxbridge can be very intense and it is a lot of hard work. I know that students will eventually adapt to the intensity of the workload however, I want to ask:

What is the one thing you wish you could tell yourself if you were starting at Cambridge/Oxford again in terms of managing the workload?

Yeah... That was enough for A levels. 1A NatSci... Not so much.

Time flies, doesn't it? Good old days of easy-peasy A-levels.
1A? Deferred entry?

It does. I'm going into Part II this year.
How much do GCSE results matter, do you need straight a*s?

Do your work first and hang out with friends later, essay crises are not cool so stop pretending they are, ask for help if you're stuck.*
Don't doss about in the vac, do your work when you get it not the night/hour before its due!

yeah this. I should have mentioned the vac thing - it's so true!!
Just get started on the damn essay earlier, and do the vacation work *in* the vacation...

I've just finished second year and this still applies.
