Who's going/has been to private halls for first year?

I'm not but just curious about people's experiences. Perhaps due to not getting the accommodation you want? Going through clearing?

I went private for my 1st year, as my own choice as it was a tenner cheaper a week than uni halls :smile:

Hello :smile:

I was never in private accommodation personally but I knew people that were. From what they said and what I saw, it was actually a some what better social experience. In their private halls you had people from the two different universities in town and the colleges and the army barracks as they passed through so there was always new people to socialise with and broaden your horizons as oppose to just knowing the people from your university.

The accommodation was a little more expensive I believe, but all around, a good experience.
