The gig is up - Corbyn just as decieftul as other politicians #Traingate

"Virgin Trains has questioned footage showing Jeremy Corbyn sitting on the floor of a "ram-packed" service. In a film shown on The Guardian, the Labour leader said he was experiencing a problem "many passengers face every day" on the London to Newcastle train.

But Virgin said CCTV showed Mr Corbyn and his team walking past available seating before starting filming.

It says the crew helped him to a carriage where seats were available and he sat for the rest of his journey."

Why am I not surprised.

Corbyn's team are utterly obsessed with spin, note the way that they (very quickly and recklessly) put together a policy on a matter of major national importance (their proposal to abolish tax relief for pharmaceutical companies) for the sole reason of attempting to spin, smear and snooker Owen Smith based on his having previously worked for a pharma company (which in Corbynworld is considered a heinous sin... it's obviously far worse than working for a regime that kills gay people, as Corbyn did)

The problem is that they really are only talented at spinning when it comes to the Labour Party electorate. They don't have any comparable skills when it comes to persuading, and appealing to, Labour voters or the country as a whole.
Nasty smear campaign by Virgin. The train was packed, just look at the photographic evidence....

So what?

He made a point.

If I want to help say homeless people, I might go to a food kitchen and help out. I might do it once a while. But I won't do it every single day. If a politician goes to a school, he or she might do it once in a while but they won't do it every day. I say this because last election campaign you saw all sides visiting schools and whatnot. This is no different.

It says: "The Labour leader chose the spot on the floor instead of upgrading to first class, it said. " - so he is perfectly right. For many people the option to upgrade to first class is out of the question.

Just because he didn't actually spend the entire journey on the floor, doesn't mean jack ****.

* I might like to add that I am not a Corbyn support or opponent. I am quite neutral regarding British politics, bar Brexit, for which I was against.

Though i think Corbyn is an odd leader to say the least and amongst my friends we throw around the word 'liberal' as an accusation rather than a compliment, I want to thank the supporters of Corbyn that have clicked on the thread.
Due to self-inforcement of our own opinions we usually only put our opinions out on forums where people agree with us. Without those who hold their beliefs higher than their desire to self-satisfy we would have no point of discussion at all.

He made a point by being deliberately deceptive and using staged shots, not just to "make a point" about railways but also blatantly trying to depict him as "a man of the people".

It says

It says that he and his team walked past empty, unreserved seats in coach H to take this staged photo opportunity, then returned to those seats where he spent the rest of the journey

Not going to defend Corbyn if true, I have little respect for anyone who lies to further their agenda.

However, there is some potential evidence coming to light that suggests that this might be a smear on Virgin's side, Corbyn's team put out a statement saying a seat was freed up later on in the journey that Corbyn took when a family were moved to first class and others had to sit on the floor too, including a person who took a photo with him and posted it on twitter, along with saying that others had to sit on the floor too. And also don't forget that Virgin of course have a clear agenda in this as well against someone who is ardently pro-public ownership, so I wouldn't be too quick to label Corbyn a liar, it needs a detective on it to work out the truth

Corbyn's team is lying. The footage and time stamps clearly show him walking past empty seats in coach H on the way to his staged photo op, then after fifteen minutes of filming walking back to coach H and taking up his seat. The footage shows the seats were empty the entire time, he walked past them when they were going to the door area to stage the scene of "Corbyn is just a regular guy"

Look, here's a picture of Corbyn walking past empty seats at 11:10am, twenty minutes before they staged their photo op

First class?

Corbyn walked past empty seats at 11:10am. He staged the photo op at around 11:30am. At 11:45am he sat in one of those same empty seats he walked past at 11:10am.

Corbyn and his team are liars. No big surprise there

Exaggerating the condition of a train is in no way/shape/form the same as Lying about WMDs and destroying a civilisation like most of the other filth in Westminster do.

No...as I said, I see no difference than any other campaign stunt.
What a waz.

I'll admit sometimes I have walked through a carriage with available seats to try to find a better seat somewhere else (stag part/screaming babies/loud business people on mobiles etc.) and occasionally I have screwed myself over because it turns out those were the last seats.

But if he has staged this whole thing then he is a complete prick. It may seem trivial but would you want to trust a pathological liar as pm? (oh wait, Blair...)

If his group genuinely didn't realise those seats were available then I might have a bit of sympathy, but it looks like there are enough seats for at least himself and probably the rest of his team.

Lay off him okay. You do realise that it would be easy enough to photoshop this image? To change the date. I doubt he would sit on the floor unless absolutely necessary!

which ones?
and still, it is very safe to assume that corbyn is no longer the socialist messiah he once was in terms of politics - obviously people thought he was different to the other labourites in terms of his principles - now his principles seem to be exactly the same - the principle of career politics
also, the fact that he didn't know who ant and dec were is kind of another huge blow to his "average joe" image

Implying that everybody on twitter is honest. The thing that has to be remembered is that just because there are people other than the subject involved does not mean they are merely passing by.
