Ugly and Gay?

So I'm gonna start this thread for the some of us who aren't exactly attractive or turn heads in the street.

I've always wondered if I could even have a shot with a guy, if they would like any part of me physically or about my personality? Yeah there's the argument of "just love yourself", but when you see nothing that either you or someone else can love and added on top with really really low self-esteem it would be like asking me to solve differential equations.

I'm not gonna lie, standards for gay men in the community can be really hard to achieve or live up to at times. While some men want a guy who looks like a model or has the phallus the size of a porn star or any other body aspect for that matter it can really be so, dishartening at times. Especially when I'm in the gym for example: all the other guys who are really attractive or are naturally hairless or have dead good and flawless skin, it just makes me think what is even the point where all the men around me, who are all straight, have a almost 100% chance at catching the eye of a guy than I do. Literally, it can become so infuriating at times to the point of tears and depression. (Once, being the sad me sobbed for a good ten minutes after my IG feed was all attractive gays finding happiness and getting married and stuff)

I kinda fit into the gay subculture of a 'cub' but I see other men who label themselves as 'cubs' and they're so much hotter and attractive than I am. Like, they practically have men drooling and throwing themselves to them.

This is how I feel as a gay guy anyway. What is the situation like for gay women out there for ya'll? Is it any worse\better than gay men?

Well I'm a straight female so I don't know, but maybe try working on your confidence: being ugly and gay doesn't define you. Pretty sure everyone likes confident people regardless if they're gay or straight, ugly or beautiful

I know that, but it's easier said than done in some cases like mine. Confidence in cases like mine is something that is hard for me to achieve no matter how hard I try.

No such thing as a ugly gay, get toned, fashionable (what you like) and your fine... good thing about being gay is you get it easier than straight people on clear face.
I'm a gay woman, and I know it's tough being gay in the first place, let alone not being conventionally attractive. I do understand that gay men have incredibly high standards to live up to (and, have you ever noticed gay white men always seem to date people they look just like??) but you just have to try and not compare yourself to them. The standards you think all gay men have for dating are probably only a fraction of the community. I always find that watching jeremy kyle helps with this sort of thing. If people with half their teeth can find love, anyone can!

Ummmm, I don't really what you're getting at here. If it was that easy then don't you think I would've done that by now? and "No such thing as a ugly gay" ??? would suggest that your interpretation of a gay man is severely wrong my dear because you'll only see a gay that you envision in a gay club which is where you'll find that type of toned, hairless, youthful, 'perfect' looking gay man.

I don't know if you're aware but gay men suffer a lot from things such as depression, low self esteem, eating and body image disorders and amongst other things which, by no surprise, is brought by the high standards that gay men have placed on them the moment they come our and start exploring their sexuality.

If you think that gays get it easier than straights then why wasn't gay marriage legalised years ago instead of just recently, why are so many LGBTQ being kicked out into homelessness when they come out to their families, why are so many gay people martyred and thrown off of buildings by IS and why is it that as a gay and a muslim I am so terrified to even mention the thought of disclosing my sexuality to them for the fear of being thrown out of my own house.

When you are straight it is like a free pass into the world. You have not a single idea how bad some LGBTQ have it. Your comment is simply misinformed.

I know, it is ain't it? and yeah OMG like i guess if thats what you're into then you do you boo. and I try and not to but its so difficult at times, i even compare myself to the straight men. And, yeah I suppose I do but the thing is I have only ever seen those people get BF's and stuff, not gays like me. and Jerrmy Kyle makes me cry
Looks aren't the be all and end all of everything, even between gay men. I realise standards are stereotypically high, but there will be someone out there for you.

Gays get is easy now than before, I said about face clearing, don't give me your liberalism (PS. I'm a social-conservative gay)

You got low self esteem? Ok.... I had it 2 years ago you think I have now? No.
Depression? Over people hating you for being natural? Fu*k that sh*t tell them bye bye and go else where.
Eating disorder just do like a normal person.... doctor or whatever they do.
Body imagine disorder? Just know don't be too fat/skinny... its idealism get rid of it... not hard.

I know how LBGTQ are around the world, I am GAY myself but luckily in Britain who is pro-LBGT without EU, we're superior on LBGT rights compaing to all of EU combined.

Everything is fixable, just depends how strong minded you are and how ambitious.

PS. Don't give me the crap that this stuff isn't fixable, I was like this 2 years ago and fixed it ALL on my own (except not hate on being gay, but been bullied about it by brother on a weekly basis, dad/nan refusing to let me see who I'm with if I don't make an excuse like "going to college and need for train fare" ... you think I give a fu*k? no, go around it.

Right sorry sorry I think i got the wrong end of it. If you told me you are gay then I would've understood better.

were we not pro-LGBTQ in the EU anyway?

All of these things will effect people differently, yeah maybe you might have been able to do those things which I applaud you for but it can be crippling at times for people. Depression is a ass, can happen over anything and yeah you're right that being fat/skinny is an idealisim but if it was so hard to get rid of it then maybe so many people wouldn't become so impacted by it?

Having a strong and determined mind like you is an ideal and evreyone should have it but not all do. And yeah it's not fixable but its not as easily fixable for some.
