GCSE 'Points'?

Original post by planetearth
Sorry if this thread has been created before, but I am not sure what these 'Points' are on my GCSE results. I only got 3 full GCSE results, because the rest of the GCSE results can be redone. For these 3 subjects I got 'points' but I am not sure what they count towards. So here are my results for the three subjects:

ICT: A* - 29 points

RS: A - 26 points

Astronomy: A - 52 points

What on earth are these 'points' and why the hell did I get 52 points for Astronomy? Are they anything to do with UCAS?

Thanks for any help.

Yeah I was wondering the same because I've taken my Spanish 2 years early and I got A* 58 points. I don't think it's the percentage. I think it probably is UCAS or something, like when you do music grade exams but not sure

You don't get UCAS points for GCSE.

58 points just refers to an A*. 52 = A, 46 = B etc.*
