Nobody can say for sure, but I suppose it's because a lot of the content in the stats modules overlaps with GCSE content, as a result of which many students do better in these modules, bringing the boundaries up. Many people find mechanics difficult to get used to, bringing the boundaries down, but if you do enough practice you can take advantage of the low boundaries and get full UMS, instances of which I have seen most commonly among Mechanics 1 students, especially those in Year 13. Are you doing/going to be doing Maths A Level?

Yep, I think i've made my mind up on mechanics, also becauuse i think I'd enjoy it more.
