London gives you access to HCAS

TLC is new for this year, no one has had experience under this new change.

... So it will be higher than 21K?

Also does anyone know what pre reg normally do for accommodation? Do you lot plan to live on hospital if available on site?
Do people feel that their statements are unique?

I feel mine is a bit generic! But not sure how to make it not so much ..

Like specific in what way? Placement wise or like where youd like to specialise after rotations?

Apart from CMFT where else you looking at applying for?

Oh also me! Which one? UHB foundation trust.

Will there be interviewers from other west midlands choices there?

Are all interviews in the same place?
Have people started preparing stuff in advance or wait until you hear you get an interview?! Help :frown: :frown: :frown:

in terms of pre-reg pay for the recent cohort, people in london were payed 25.6-28.3k. the minimum in hospitals is around £22k.

In contrast, community people get 10-19k despite (from personal experience) having a more challenging pre-reg (lack of learning resources and opportunities vs hospital, more manual labour, less breaks, essentially being thrown in the deep end vs gradually reaching there)

regarding accomodation, the bigger trusts usually offer it but you do have to pay rent (usually £600/month + )

Really? That does not sound right... :/ Do you know the reasoning why they were rejected?*

I havent the slightest but it was application stage for prettymuch all of the ones rejected (maybe bad experience ?)

Ok thank you so much. very grateful to you taking the time to answer.

If London re on over 21K does that mean we have to start paying back student finance at the pre reg stage?

Also, have you any idea whether its monthy or weekly! Sorry to ask so much.

I would argue that hospital pre regs are too thrown in the deep end as are all pre regs cross sector

Oh, wow was it that bad in King's Lynn? :OOO*
Do you know anything about London hospitals?*

No idea about ucl trust tbh (I know people who say its clinical ) but check 1 of my earlier posts about guys and sits interview (its the same about all format for all hospitals in kings college trust. I will say if you have aamer safdar, for the love of god, don't mention anything about diuretics of any 'fozin' anti-diabetic drugs else he will tear you a new one. And at the same time, be aware that not all hospital medicines information unit heads are aware of completely new drugs, so dont be too overwise about new guidelines (about a month or 2 weeks prior is ok) else youll have to explain a lot
