Increase in teenage mental health problems?

Hi guys, I'm currently researching the increase in teenage mental health since 2000.

I wanted to know,
*Do you think that there has been an increase?
*What factors do you think have caused the increase?
*What do you think could be done to solve this issue?

And anything that you might have to say on this topic.

Many thanks in advance!
Also, feel free to message me privately if there's anything further.

Thank you again

Wouldn't be suprised. Increasing population in general, sounds cliche but maybe less stigma as well (that still sadly exists in some parts of the world)

Not sure what has caused an increase.. I guess loads of different things can cause it though.

How can it be solved.. I dunno. It's difficult because services eg at uni.. not everyone has a positive experience with them or doesn't find them much use. Then again, it must be a pretty difficult job.. :s-smilie:

That's true about the Stigma, it still exists, even in some schools and colleges, where you'd least expect it really.
And yeah, that's true, because for example if a counselling service is available, that doesn't necessarily mean people will use them, or will think they will be beneficial to them.

Thanks for your contribution!
