Student Finance for repeating Foundation Year?

Hi Guys,

Looks like I will have to repeat a foundation year again. Will I have to pay for the fees by myself or will the funds be provided by SFE for repeating this year. My course is 4years with foundation?

As long as you are retaking the year as a full-time student, then you will get your full SF entitlement including the tuition fee loan.

However, this is using up your "grace" year of funding. If you have to resit a year in future, then you will have to pay for the resit year yourself (including paying your own tuition fees). Make sure you know what went wonky this time round, so you don't get into that situation.

Good luck! It took me a total of five years at uni to get a degree, so it's still do-able :smile:
