Very low ukcat, have I messed up my chances?

Hi,*

I did my ukcat today and got an average of 603 which I am very upset about as AR dragged down my average.

Do I have any chance at all of even gaining an interview at med school?

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.*

Yes you do! What are your GCSEs like? Would you consider the BMAT?

You haven't messed up on your chances just apply to your strengths. Uni's have different weightings on the UKCAT for example it only makes up 10% of Bristol's selection process. You could also think about Uni's which require the BMAT? I'd say avoid uni's such as Newcastle/Durham, Southampton, Glasgow, etc... (The ones which heavily use the UKCAT). If worst comes to worst you can always retake the UKCAT next year and reapply . Hope this helps

I'll be graduating this year with a degree in biomedical sciences, with a predicted 1st.

My GCSEs are 1A* 6As and 3Bs - I'm so so gutted after today, I was considering the BMAT but now I'm thinking against it :/ *
