Do Unis dislike GCSE retakes?

Thinking about med/dentistry.
Trying to push 3 a*, 6 a, 1b to 5 a*, 5 a.
Do I stand a chance?

Many have a policy on GCSEs being taken over a 2 year time period (year 10 and 11) so wouldn't count anything other than those; worth checking for specific unis but most take that view I think

Don't bother. Focus on your a-levels. Your current GCSEs will still give you plenty of options.
