Hi all,
I understand there are probably hundreds of posts like this but I can't find anything from looking through the stickies and first few threads.
My question is about what's looked for by admissions with regards to work experience, experience in leadership, sport, and all the rest of it. I'm starting my A levels but still haven't decided on a college and am oscillating between the two.
I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and have completed relevant work experience with the option for more in similar firms so this isn't an issue. I'd like to know what more I need to do in the coming year to give me the strongest chance as possible of getting in. I'd like to apply to Engineering and will certainly study Maths, FM and Physics, alongside Economics and possibly another subject.
What sort of activities are performed by the average Cambridge applicant and what needs to be done in order to 'tick all the boxes' when it comes to personal statements? I understand it's not the case of a checklist and applicants are assessed individually but I'd still like to know what would give me the best chance.
