Exam Syllables and Revision Techniques

Where can i find the exam Syllables for my gcse subjects and does anyone have a great revision technique apart from flash cards?
The Syllabus depends on your exam board for your GCSE subjects. Tell me the exam boards and I will link you to them. Be specific about the board details i.e. Spec A or B e.t.c.

The revision technique is specific to you. I prefered taking condensed notes and writing the notes in such way that aids your understanding, not copied out from a textbook.
Also you could make quizzes online on different parts of a topic and try and answer them. TSR has a load of them.
You could be a talking learner and say out loud the information and understand it that way which can help memorise certain things.
Remember to organise yourself with a timetable and catch up on targets you are behind on.
Good luck

What year are you in? We need to know to see if you're going to be doing the new or old GCSEs? All of the specifications can be found on the respective websites of the exam board.

Whay year are you in? Then we can finalise the specification information because you may be sitting new GCSE's in some subjects.

Also, no problem I'd love to help

Here's the specification for Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Check on the topics names if it is the right one, since am doing OCR 21st century but there is two, 2011 and 2012. These are the 2012 ones.

OCR 21st Century Physics Syllabus- http://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/82528-specification.pdf

However, you've stated OCR as the exam board but I don't know whether you are doing OCR A 21st Century or OCR B. I think I got the right one but ask your teacher which syllabus on OCR you are doing.

French AQA- http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects/AQA-4655-W-SP-14.PDF

For Geography, there is also AQA A and B. You need to ask your teacher which is the right one. But I will link both but ask your teacher which is the right one:

Specifications are on the exam board websites. Just type in your exam board and subject and it will most likely take you to it. If not ask your teacher, that's what they are teaching you from! As far as revision techniques:

Science- copy out the spec (it tells you exactly what you need to know) and past papers
Maths- past papers
English Language and Literature- Mr Bruff youtube
Languages- flashcard apps are fun
Geography- print of the spec and past papers

other stuff like mindmaps, recording yourself and listening to it and post it notes works for some people but I never tried it.

Look up youtube videos for some topics, some are really good.

If you're on the 9-1 course for English on AQA, I've already linked the correct link.

Here is the Geography Edexcel Syllabus. Again there is a Spec A and a Spec B. So ask your teacher which is the right one but I will link both.
Spec A- http://qualifications.pearson.com/content/dam/pdf/GCSE/Geography-A/2009/Specification%20and%20sample%20assessments/9781446911907_GCSE_Lin_Geog_A_Issue_5.pdf

Spec B- http://qualifications.pearson.com/content/dam/pdf/GCSE/Geography-B/2009/Specification%20and%20sample%20assessments/9781446911914_GCSE_Lin_Geog_B_Issue_5.pdf

In the spec, there is a module section. Check the contents. I'll link later, I'm not on my PC at the moment.

Same:smile:
Just type in the exam board and subject then type ''syllabus''. Also, everybody revises a different way but I think an effective way to study is to watch a video on YouTube if you don't understand something then read your revision guide and then close it and write down what you remember in a note book. If you need any help just PM me:smile:
