1. GCSEs - 10A*s, plus A in FSMQ
AS - AAAAA
A2 - A*AAA (going to resit two exams this year which should give me A*A*A*A, though Oxford said if I get an offer, I won't need to resit so idk)
2. Maths, FM, Economics, Spanish
3. Not a clue

Good luck everyone!

1) 6*'s at GCSE, rest A*'s. B in AS P&E
2) AAAA in History, Economics Maths and GovPol
3) Maybe Hertford/ St Catherines

Not really expecting to get into Oxford, but I thought might as well give it a go  Will likely apply for postgrad study there where hopefully my chances are better!

Thanks  I missed my Cambridge and UCL offers this by not getting an A* in Maths so decided I'd rather take a year out and reapply properly than rush to go through clearing, where the unis weren't that great and I didn't really fancy any of them anyway. Wasn't planning on applying to Oxford until just recently, but figured if I had a Cambridge offer then maybe I am actually suited to the Oxbridge style and it's worth a shot

Just fell in love with the place at the open day. Great location, gorgeous buildings, good size, strong E&M department. Ticked all my boxes really.
GCSE: 8A*, 3A, A in FSMQ
AS: AAAAA
A level subjects: Maths, Chemistry, Biology, French
Predicted:A* A A* A*
College: Balliol

Does anyone know if I will be at a disadvantage having not studied Econimics at A-level, despite my school having offered it?
I wanted to keep my options open at the time I chose them and to be honest I'd never given Economics much thought before recrntly, so I went for a wide array of subjects, though I have done quite a bit of extra reading for Economics which I have mentioned in my PS.

GCSE: didn't take (international student)
iGCSE: (our school used these as finals, and didn't offer that many-we're an American school) 5As 1B 1C
APs: 4455 (taken last year), 5555 (predicted for this year)
English Literature, Biology, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics (4455) and Calculus BC, English Language, European and World History (5555)
College: Merton

Our school did not take iGCSEs seriously because they were treated as finals and as you can see, there weren't that many offered. I'm wondering if I'd be extremely disadvantaged because I never knew I would apply to a UK uni at the time :frown: I have strong predictions for my APs though and am really passionate about E&M. Would this be a hopeless application?
I am a mature student (27yo).

1. GCSE (2006): 10A* 1A; A-level (2008): AAAa in Maths*, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology AS
*Maths is grade A* using current criteria (A* was introduced 2010)

2. Self-studying A-level Economics and A-level Maths this year

3. Harris Manchester (college for mature students only)

I know people have had invitations or rejections for other courses but I am yet to come across anyone who has heard back from an E&M course.
