Allow it SammyHam, when you arriving at uni ? I was gonna aim for two weeks before we start just so I could sort through all the maps and lists to create a tidy idea

Is that too early perhaps ? lol

I have to put my proposal into my tutor by the 23rd and I actually have no clue what to do mine on. I study marketing but it has to have an international focus and I'm so lost haha! I should have thought about it through the summer because now I have dissertation prep workshops next week and no plan whatsoever.... Stressing out!

I commute to uni, so I've already got all my dissertation paperwork set up at home! So definitely not too early :tongue:

It's pretty difficult and a lot harder to make friends, but as I'm not much of a drinker it doesn't affect me all that much.

My dissertation is about legal reform on assisted dying. I had to fit it into a question and write a brief statement about what I'd cover in it last year in order to secure a supervisor for it! Unfortunately research for it is about to slow down major as I have to prepare for other modules now, argh :afraid:

hey guys I'm doing a politics degree and have started preparing my proposal as I have already found a research topic and question, however the problem is I do not know whether I should conduct quantitative research in the form of a survey or just analyse the findings of other research, even though there has only been two surveys conducted on the topic so far. I'm super stressed and confused about this and would love some advice.

It's weird cos my friends have done varying amounts of work for it, like one is preparing to write her introductory report, whilst others are clueless as to what subject they should do

Then my lecturer was like

'If you haven't made up your mind yet, write some topics you like on a piece of paper, take it down the pub and discuss the best ones with your mates

I've done a fair bit of prep, a hectic summer meant I've done less than ideal, but better lecturers have assured me I'm ok

Trying to figure out an outline for the whole thing now, as I have most of the research I need, in fact there's too much research....

I've gone for a narrative based approach instead of relying on data, I absolutely suck at data analysis so this was a god send

Hi,

I've been searching for a online survey hosting tool for a while now, and as I'm getting desperate (as I really need to start my research for my dissertation) I thought someone on this thread might be able to help.

I don't want to use Survey Monkey as its not "powerful" enough for what I need it for and others I have looked at online (eg: Snapsurvey, esurveycreator) do not fit my requirements either. I have tried to make use of my university's survey system but it requires coding, which I don't have experience in,

Basically I am looking for a survey system which is preferably free to students/cheap with these (probably advanced) features:

* the ability to randomise questions and answers
* the ability to upload images to then use as answers which participants can click on
* multiple pages
* ability to create at least 3 surveys
* preferably unlimited participants and responses but at least 2,000 responses
* preferably the ability to export results to SPSS
* participants can be made anonymous

If anyone has any advice or any survey system they would recommend for the above please please let me know!
