Well assuming you are being serious and you are talking about a cat... I have a soft hand towel, that is just used on my cat and nothing else. When she's soaking I say to her, "Shall I get you all dry with Blackie's special towel?" I keep it in the dining room. Straight away she jumps up on to the top back of the sofa so I can reach her, and she lets me dry her completely with her own special towel. She always purrs like mad . I don't rub her fur up and down with it, I start at her head, and work the full length of her body with the towel in the palm of my hand, so it completely covers her fur. I keep doing that several times until she is almost dry. BUT.. If I dry her completely with it it leaves her fur very rough. She needs to use her own tongue to dry off completely. The towel is just to dry off the excess water.
