Nonsense. AfD is nowhere near the Nazis. They're like UKIP.

Actually, they are pretty much exactly like the NSDAP.

Or did you think Nazi = genocide?

Please explain to me how they are "exactly like the NSDAP"?

Their policies are ominously overlapping. They even want to remove disabled children from classes.

Source?

And that makes them "Nazi"?

It's in their manifesto. And well yes, that is what Nazi actually means, National Socialist, NSDAP members.

What they are saying is that there are already special schools for disabled children and they shouldn't be merged with regular schools as it would cost too much and have negative results on teaching.

I don't think this is enough to call them "nazis".

Do they, or do they not want to segregate disabled students?

Not surprised though that such a stark, nationalistic Brexiter like yourself would find this party attractive.
The unhealthy truth for the left is that, it was created by Hitler and they call us center and right wingers Nazis, what hypocritical fools

Cool they're still irrelevant unless German mainstream parties do what Cameron did; even if this results were to be replicated in federal elections next year - SDP could form coalition with CDP like they did few years back and have a comfortable majority - regardless main swing appears to be from NDP/ Greens to AfD; neither of which is terrible.

They want to keep the current organisation of special schools for disabled students, which has been supported by other parties. None of that is enough to qualify them as "Nazis".

I'm not a Brexiter.

this is a pretty dumb assertion to make, there is a different between sovietism / maoism and socialism.

I'd wager you're not an English Nationalist either.

Except half of Brexiters seem to think Germans are all Nazis anyway...

And did you just generalise Brexiters? *TRIGGERED*

Nationalistic one, yes. There are many on the side of Brexit that want other countries to follow suit. A party like AfD fits that very well.

As much as I hate the AfD, the reason you gave is not a reason for that - neither for me disliking them nor for them being Nazis.
The CDU and the FDP support those schools too.

The categories of right and left aren't always like black and white.
The NSDAP was definitely a right wing party but some of their policies were "left" (but those didn't apply to everyone)
Still it was overall a right wing extremist party.
The damage is done.
Not surprising

We will probably see a Nazi Germany 2.0 in our lifetimes and that saddens/worries me.

no don't be silly plus you could compare Isis to Nazis so yes we have something
similar already here .

Its not ridiculous, given the increasing far-right sentiment all across Europe.

We have been seeing politicians using the problems of terrorism and migration to fuel their far-right campaigns, just as Hitler did but with economic crises and unfair foreign policy.
Obviously this doesn't mean we're going to see a modern day equivalent to the Nazis with identical policies, but any far-right group with any beliefs is what is being emphasised here.

being a far right group doesn't make them nazis
