I love London - AMA

I was brought up in the provinces - well - Oxford to be precise.

So I'm not a Londoner by birth. My Dad is and he lives in London - and I have for the last couple of years and intermittently before that.

It's possible to hate London, but hard. :teehee:

Things I love:

* The stunning variety of people. Cosmopolis in the heart of Britannia.

* Food - endless choice and all easily available.

* Lovely summer evenings in the parks with friends.

* Fireworks by the Thames at New Year.

* A constant stream of cultural happenings of all kinds that dazzles the brain if you focus.

Do you love London too? :colondollar:

AMA.

I live in East London. I prefer central London for it's beauty. Where I live is a bit scummy with occasional stabbings of teens. But the main city, awesome!

It's too early to tell.
Yeah I like London to a certain extent, living in the ends is pretty god awful depressing though :frown:

The real question is, do you like the Tube- I can just handle the Hammersmith, Circle and Metropolitan lines because of the new trains

I'm with you on that. My basic position on them is:

Overground - particularly the Shoreditch part.

Hammersmith & City / District

Jubilee

Northern / Piccadilly / Victoria

Circle

Central

It's just so much better in real life than the rep.
What do you love most, the hyper-inflated house prices, the smell of exhaust fumes the moment you leave your front door or the depression-inducing light pollution?
Which side of the river is superior? :hmmm:

1. Right now, I think lots of places East are pretty good - especially around Hackney and Dalston areas - also I like the usual places that most people like, eg, the parks.

2. Edinburgh is fab. I love San Francisco, Berlin, Rome and Paris.
