Back office pay?

Guys, I don't think I'm suited for a client facing role. I'm still looking at the accounting field but I was wondering if a less talkative/chatty guy and someone who is more reserved can survive in the back office?

And also, what is the pay like for back office people? I have heard that it is £35k for analysts, £50k for associates and £70k for a VP in London. Can someone verify whether this is true?

Back office pay isn't very good, why not go for middle office? You'll have to talk and be personable in every role, apart from maybe quant. Banks want to hire people who are interesting and who will talk and make good friends with their colleagues. They don't want to and won't hire some guy who sits at the back in a corner just doing his work without saying anything.

You can always work on your talking skills and become more personable. I've heard that uni really changes awkward/unsocial people into more social, interesting people.

I believe it's £70k plus £5-10k bonus so that makes it pretty good

Why not do middle office (risk, compliance)? In middle at a big bank you can earn £100k after only 10 years experience.

Yeah but I do talk a lot, I'm just not that social and only talk to close friends and talk a bit to other people. I'm more reserved and not extra verted or whatever it's called. I am a ****ing beast in interviews and when I have to taall, it's just the socialising and sales/ relationship building that I don't fancy which is why I'm put off by front office roles
