Mole concept help!!!

My revision guide says that relative masses have no units. Although, relative masses are the same as molar mass. And molar mass has an unit!( g/mol)
I'm confused!!!! :frown:

So basically molar mass is the relative mass per mol in an element
Eg. CaCl2
40+(35.5*2) =111
How many moles of Ca?
Ans: 111/40
2.775 or 2.8g/mol
Hope this was what you were asking?
