Starting Uni at 24.. Too old????

Hey guys,

I'll be studying law at Bristol University next year.

I'll be 24 when I officially start and worried If i'm too old...

I'd ideally like to stay in Halls, but kinda worried that I'll be the oldest guy there and won't fit it.. even though I'm a really social etc.

Any replies will be most helpful!
Nah fam, go to halls youll be fine

Im gonna be a mature student too, AFAIK its easy to fit into halls at least up to 30 if you're social
24 can't be described as old in any way - you'll probably be very in the middle in regards to age, with 18 year olds and people 30+ :h:
No you're not to old, and no nobody is going to care about your age.
Tons of mature students , nothing to worry about. If you were in your 50s and in halls then getting along maybe be harder idk

There's about a 50% chance you will live beyond 100. And a good chance you will live much longer than that. Does it still feel like a couple years makes a difference?

The **** is wrong with you? Nobody will give a **** about you being a few years older than other. If you were 10 years older than others then you should be worried.

JK, you'll be totally fine!

Hello ,

A lot of mature students are worried that whatever age they are, they are 'too old' but I can tell you, when it comes to university you shouldn't worry about your age.
If you are social, you'll be fine. Just go for it and enjoy yourself!
Stay in halls and have a fantastic experience!

Good luck

I wasn't! However, I had a couple of friends in my course and who lived on my corridor that were mature students and they have become quite good friends. They shared their worries when they first started but we never saw a problem with it. They were like any other student, socialised just the same, worked just the same!
I've been too young, too old and then, decrepit at uni. None of it mattered. You'll be just fine.

They are all undergrads just starting uni btw, I'm the only postgrad in my flat. just ask the uni to put you will people of a similar age
