Looking to join the RAF

Hi I am interested in joining the RAF in intelligence or communications

I am 17, recently got a qualification in car mechanics, and currently studying carpentry

I was wondering would it be better for me to change my course to level 2 IT, as they would help me more with the roles I am interested in?

I have always loved car mechanics and carpentry, because now you have to do 2 years at college I decided to go for both, first year mechanics, second year woodwork.

I was just after a bit of advice if anyone has joined the RAF, in communications or intelligence and have any advice on initial training, specialist training or advice in general

I been boxing for a few years now, and love running, I run daily, in the last 3 weeks I have got my 1.5 mile run from 15 minutes to 12.33

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you -Dan
Best you look at the RAF careers website and see what qualifications they require for the roles you're interested in. If you already have what they need then great. If not, you might want to think about other qualifications or other career fields.
