Just wondering, I got one of those 16+ photocard Oyster cards but it expires in a few days and I'm not sure what to do. I got an adult Oyster card, but it's not mine and I assume Oyster cards are personalised?

Are you going to be studying in London? If so, you can get a photocard that is 30% off or something like that. If not, I think it's just an oyster card (that you can register?) but doesn't have a photo.
They can be but most of them are a simple blue design and generic, they can be bought from any number of places from corner shops to stations. Unless you get a university or other specialised one, of course.

They are generic, but you can have it registered to you. The benefit is that if you lose it, you can have the credit put back on a new card.

Adult Oyster cards aren't personalised no, only those with a photocard. However if you are 16 or 17 and still live in London then you should be eligible to renew the card again or if 18 you need to be studying in London too but you can still get the card renewed..
