Dispatches expose on Momentum - On Ch4+1 now

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/dispatches/

The Ch4 expose on Momentum is broadcasting on Channel 4 now. Showing what a bunch of revolting Trots are involved in this organisation. They even admit, "We are Trotskyists"

Also some interesting information about financial impropriety and possible illegalities by Momentum being given Jeremy for Labour campaign funds. Also the "Jeremy Corbyn Election Services Ltd" company harvesting data through the campaign and then handing it over to Momentum, probably breaching the Data Protection Act by doing so. In secret filming Corbyn campaign staffers laughed about how people whose data was being harvested didn't know.

These people really are revolting, they're like the sort of people who used to be bullied and then become psychopaths and completely obsessed with abusing other people. They're like the political equivalent of Elliot Rodger

Is that the new line? I thought it was, "We are not Trots, that is ridiculous". Well, at least admitting what you are is progress of a sort
Who really cares?

Anyone brainwashed enough to be involved with them in the first place is just going to say this is MSM anti-Corbyn propaganda and lies.

Anyone else already knows they're dangerous imbeciles.

This won't change the mind of any Corbynites.
There's also a programme tonight on Panorama about the Labour Party.

There's an excellent interview with Peter Kyle, the MP for Hove. He is the only Labour MP in the south outside of London. And Hove is not a natural Labour seat, it was Tory up until 1997 and Labour only beat the Tories by a few points in 2010 and 2015.

He's quite moderate, and the sort of MP you need to win in the south of England. Naturally Momentum has decreed him to be an enemy. After the Syria vote last year, abusive messages started rolling in (as we've seen for all Labour MPs who don't tow the hard left line).

It has become very clear that the Labour Party is no longer a viable organisation. Every Labour MP who is deselected should immediately resign and call a byelection to stand under the "Independent Labour" banner. I'd say most of them have a good chance of winning; that would give the Cult of Saint Jezbollah something to cry about.

Of course. Members of the Cult of Saint Jezbollah are immune to reason and logic. This is about informing members of the general public; Labour voters. I'm shocked Labour is even at 28%. Most people don't really pay attention to politics outside of election season, and if more moderate people would take an interest Jezbollah could be replaced by a sane, moderate leader.

Do you think the general public needs to be informed? I think the polling speaks for itself. He's going to stay leader, then lose and lose big. The only thing that's going to make it worse is that he might actually stay on after a GE disaster.
The really ironic part was watching as socialists complained about hardcore factions generating populism within youthful ranks, and in a deliberately 'exploitative' way. Socialism doesn't advocate divide and rule, it IS divide and rule; it's pitting one group in society off against another through the exploitation of some perceived (not necessarily real) grievance. It never fails to amaze me the level of cognitive dissonance displayed by socialists - this is exactly the manner in which communism, the National Socialist German Workers Party and Italian fascism prospered.

Socialists always exploit the playground vote, adults with fully-formed brains don't vote for them; those under the age of 25 don't have fully developed brains, they have weakened ability for processing emotion rationally (owing to an over-reliance on the amygdala) and thus make decisions based on how they feel, rather than what they observe or is in the best interests of society.

They should raise the voting age to 30. Ultimately, that won't happen. There's a reason Hitler and Mussolini wanted to lower the voting age - they can tap into the only segment of the population idiotic enough to vote for them: young people. The young hold a reverence towards the state that's entirely misplaced (they seem to forget the state, not the people, institutionalised slavery, racism, gender discrimination, colonialism, etc., and now, conveniently, seeks to bring all of the same policies to an 'end' in accordance with the same morality with which they were enforced in the first place) and are entirely oblivious to the notion that what someone says isn't important, it's their motivation for saying it.

As far as I may be from Trotskyism, I don't really find it shocking that they openly admit to being Trotskyists. Even Christopher Hitchens used to. Trotsky is generally percieved as being the good one and Lenin the bad one.

Like with most things, perception is reality. As far as I'm concerned, Cameron was a Trotskyist.

99%, of people using the term 'Trotskyist' have absolutely no idea what that means and have no interest in discussing the actual ideas and thoughts of Trotsky. As far as they are concerend it's just another insult much like 'prick' or '*****'
God, that was dull. Even Zac Goldsmith admitted how weak and useless it was.

Equally, I'n sure there are plenty of people who call themselves Trotskyists, Marxists, or communists and have very little idea of what they mean, they just like them like badges.

I doubt that many. Trot sects are notoriously hair-splitting on points of detail.

Stalin, not Lenin, is the bad one with Trotyskists normally.

Hmm ok, I was just going off how Lenin was represented in Animal Farm.

That also goes for all the people shouting trot and anything vaguely left wing that dares to move.

Orwell wasn't a Trotskyist.

Also Lenin is not directly represented in Animal Farm :beard:

Trotsky is Snowball, who probably has elements of Lenin.

Lenin dies. Stalin wins. Trotsky loses. That is the point in the Russian Revolution story that Trotskyism starts. It is a left opposition to Stalinism.

My point still stands though, you should probably have a least a vague understanding of a word before you attempt to use it as an insult.

Oh crap, was Napoleon Stalin? Damn I've got this all mixed up.

And yeh I know Orwell wasn't a Trotskyist. But even so a lot of people think Lenin was a pretty bad guy. Trotsky is generally thought of as pretty decent though, hence why I don't find it particularly shocking that people in Momentum openly admit to being Trotskyists.

Oh yeh for sure. Calling someone a Trotskyist isn't really an insult.
