You mean a sex tape? Don't think it's a normal thing but people do it. I guess it depends on his intentions with the video. If the girl dumps him, he still has the video and could do anything with it...
When it actually happens to you, you need to ask yourself do you trust them? There are other questions, but that's the big one.

As it hasn't, it really doesn't matter. People record themselves being sexual for all sorts of reasons.

There's nothing wrong or deviant about making a sex tape, everyone does these days.
Selling and/or distributing it might raise some ahem 'problems' though.

I wouldn't expect great things from him
I wouldn't think he was a "sex addict" per say, I would just think he was a bit gross and wasn't the respectable gentleman I would've hoped he was :'-)

Depends on the relationship tbh. Both parties should be comfy with it and they should be aware of the possibility of it escaping or being used as a weapon. Relationships dont always last, so its very risky imo if it would do you damage should it ever be leaked. If its what the parties want to do then they should go for it.
