If i had the money i'd open a coffee shop come bar while managing my investments. If i had a hundred million i'd open a casino/resort like in Vegas. If i had £10bn i would open a Eureka Institute with a focus on space and eugenics/genetic engineering.
Realistically though i'll be promoted to management while serving as a Councillor and perhaps be elected to parliament.

My aim is research scientist, possibly in genetics. Not sure if I'd go into industry or into academia. Depends how I feel when I start my degree and get some experience.
I don't consider a plan to corner the market in designer babies to be a desirable life goal.
Why? I'd be curing all kinds of things.
Genetic engineering has amazing potential. Imagine for example if we could alter the level of Melonin in the skin while in the womb, we could cure racism by making people as white as us. Imagine if people were able to purchase 'upgrades' for their future children. Imagine if these people selectively bred with each other.

We would finally be able to breed out racism by removing, er, non-white races?

Voluntarily, one only has to look at the 'whitening' products already available to see the demand is there.
Just imagine a world devoid of racism, the market for upgrades available to your children (and some no doubt via the NHS). Is it not everything you could dream of.
