Ingrown hairs are ruining my life (hairy girl problems).

I'm in my early twenties and, even though it's pretty embarrassing, I've always been really hairy. For the most part, I tried not to think about it too much growing up since I never dated or wanted to be with anyone. Now though, there is someone in my life. We hardly see each other (though that is a tragic tale for another thread) so it's hard enough as it is. I don't even know how long we'll be in each other's lives but I miss him every day that I don't see him. I want to make the most of the time we have together.

The thing is, I have a major ingrown hair problem which means I can't even let myself do anything with him. I know it may not sound serious but I literally cannot remove hair without having bumps and ingrown hairs all over. My legs are disgusting all the way up. All my life I've had so many body issues and a lot of them I've just learnt to accept I can never change. But this I can't get past. What man expects to get intimate with a girl only for her to have ingrown hairs all over? It's disgusting. I've never known any other girl to have this issue. Whenever I see girls' legs or bikini line, I always look and it makes me feel so *****y. Why can't I just be normal? I don't know what to do. I've been so depressed over this person not being in my life and now that he's back in my life, I feel depressed because I can't let him near me.

Laser hair removal or deal with it- if he really likes you, he won't care.

I know but I feel like he'll have this image of what I look like in his head and it's just not what I am. It's not just about him, this is something that is really getting me down all the time. I wish I could just feel open around him but I'm always restricted in how far I'll let him touch me.

Stop removing hair if it bothers you that much. Also, people who are worth it won't care.

It's not that expensive per session, also you can go weekly and the better the person doing it is, the faster and cheaper it will be.

Ive not got one but I'll be getting one when I get my student loans -- I have PCOS hirsutism so I get a lot of unwanted hair and I have quite sensitive skin so lots of reactions etc..

The technology behind it is that it essentially fries the hair root and stops it growing a hair, so it takes a full hair cycle (~3 months++) to stop it completely. So youd still have to deal with it until then... But long term worth the investment I'd say.

Hair trimmers are quite good... I have a Philips pink stick thing which doesn't give me any reactions (but it's not practical for your whole body)

Um no because I don't want to have hairy legs. I just want to be able to remove the hair without it causing such problems.

How fast does your hair grow?

You could wax and let the hair grow out in areas where there is less (upper thigh) and use Jolene creme bleach to make the hair blonde.
For in grown hairs you can use conditioner when you shave, use tweezers on your legs to prevent early looking ingrown hairs from developing (scratch surface gently with tweezer). Also ingrown hairs are a legitimate issue to consult with your doctor over or maybe a skin specialist in a clinic that deals with hair/birthmark/fat/tattoo removal.
With hair removal you've just got to keep tying until you find something that works for you and then keep up with it.

Also I know this is for you, but still you shouldn't care to much what a guy thinks, would you want to get invested in someone that shallow?
