Perhaps you should do some research. Women don't get paid less for the same job.

The "gender pay gap" is only there when it is without taking into account of:
1. work hours;
2. work experience;
3. nature of job.

Yes, there is a pay gap between a waitress who works 2 hours per week and a male doctor who works 45 hours per week.

Yes, there is a pay gap still between two medical professionals working in the same hospital, but it's because the male one is more likely to be a physician whilst the female one is more likely to be a nurse.

Yes, there is a pay gap still between two physicians working in the same hospital, but the male one is more likely to be a specialist one with more years of experience.

No, there is no pay gap between two physicians working in the same hospital in the exact same position with the same years of experience.

Let's assume everything you said is true (for the record I don't think it is). The actions of people who have the same color skin as me (which is a fairly darkish brown), does not represent me as an individual. If you can't accept that then I think you might find that you're more 'left wing' than you think.

Or perhaps you're just illogical and unable to see reason? I mean, that would explain the E grade you got in Further Maths.

No it doesn't but it a good indicator/an increased likely hood you're like that since your community is percentage wise, more like that as a community.
You're pointing out that black males earn less than white women, as if I should care and I explained the reasons why... Hence you seem to have a problem with it to state that.
Everyone is an individual, but certain groups of individuals behave different to others, hence generalizations, as they're generalizations, the general/more likely to be like that than other groups....

Of course companies do it because they can get away with it. And of course some companies specifically hire women into some roles because they know they can pay them less and that they aren't as ambitious as males and will put up with more ****. It's not like meetings between hr and the boss who's looking to hire are recorded and sent to a Government Equality Office are they?

This is like saying; murder is illegal so it doesn't happen.

Murderers often get caught. If employers up and down the country were paying women less for the same work, we would be inundated with stories of lawsuits, criminal investigations, fines, sanctions, etc. But somehow millions if women are allegedly being duped into less pay without complaint. Somehow tens of thousands of people in HR and accounting departments throughout the country are involved in one of the biggest cover-ups in history and haven't run to the press or gone to the authorities. Somehow HMRC haven't noticed anything.

Or, maybe, women aren't being paid less for the same work in a conspiracy of mass lawbreaking, but for the simpler, well-known economic reasons I mentioned.

Please could you source that claim. Recent evidence cited for a gender pay gap more or less all points back to an ONS study which claimed that women earn about 80p to every £1 a man earns. This was a broad-brush study which added up all the money men earn and all the money women earn, and compared the two numbers. I don't think I've seen a single study which showed men are paid more than women for the same job, largely because it's been outlawed for decades now. If anyone has any evidence of women being paid less than men for the same job, they need only take it to the police and they'll be in line for a sizeable payout through the courts.

No, it's like saying that murder is illegal so it seems unlikely there's a mass conspiracy to cover up thousands upon thousands of murders every single day.

If that is the case, then wouldn't companies hire a larger % of women to raise their profits? Since that doesn't happen, I think we can safely say that your statement is not true.

All of the statistics on the 'gender pay gap' are broad brush and do not take into account the different lifestyle choices that women make. If those were factored in, the 'gender pay gap' would narrow to 0.

Whilst we don't have the pay gap issue we had before the law changed, it's still gobsmackingly naive of you to believe such things. There are still huge amounts of discrimination in the work place. I think you'll find women often do take employers to tribunal for such things, but it's more likely it will stay internal or the woman won't challenge her employer at all.

Lol at hr being on your side and at payroll giving a toss as to who gets paid what rate as long as it's signed off.

"SOMEHOW women are being duped" yeah it's called having a family to support. This is essentially why women are less aggressive and therefore often lag their male counterparts.

I just don't understand how you can believe that these companies are on your side and their employees law abiding. Read some news. Do some time inside of one.

As I've said, please provide some evidence of this. This seems fairly difficult to believe when there is literally an article of law which makes this illegal. If you are seeing this happen 'all the time', you need do nothing more than report it to the police.

try working in a business that is like 90%+ women

it's the most toxic environment you could ever imagine. even if they aren't paid less, they should be because of all the additional grief they bring through their incessent henpecking
