Complimenting a man

It is not common for men to get complimented on their looks.
I get a few compliments, so I am wondering in why men get less compliments?
Women get called cute,sexy and beautiful

because most women are not as selfless as we are to them.
I genuinely dont know what men want to be complimented with? cute? hot? handsome?

I tend to just say you're a good-looking guy.

Lame compliment I know hah!

If you're ugly you probably won't get any compliments anyway.

Because most guys are ugly, lets be honest. Especially british ones

Yeah, usually by thirsty people you should avoid like Ebola.
I get called so many bad things due to my looks that ugly starts to become a compliment now.
