Two points:

- I had a meeting with my MP last week, she said she was genuinely terrified of going to the Labour Party Conference.

- Seemingly, the Corbynites can't even persuade a bunch of students to join their glorious cause.

So, if you can convince neither students nor Labour MPs to join your revolution, two groups that would traditionally be your natural allies, what chance have you got of convincing the general public? Absolutely zero.

I am afraid to say your recent enthusiastic entrance into politics will likely be met with an enthusiastic retreat from politics when the British public rejects your odious views in a General Election and you become disillusioned.

Of course, when they fail to be elected it won't be their fault.
You know Labour's in a bad place when they start sounding like Bernie Sanders supporters.

Labour as they are now are simply unelectable. From Ed Milliband onwards they have given the Cons the biggest gift with unelectable leaders.
They have to capture the majority of votes and to do that they need the centre ground and not just that of the extreme left.

Not trusted on the economy.
Not trusted as a leader.

New thing is they arent trusted on defence.

Labour were not trusted on the Economy because of the first lie that they caused the Crash ( started in the US and became worldwide) and the 2nd lie that they always borrow more than the Conservatives - whereas the truth is the exact opposite as Tax Research LLP - Richard Murphy explained.

Not only do they borrow less absolutely and on average than the Conservatives , they also repay debt more often - they repaid debt 1 in 4 years they were in office , the Conservatives repaid debt 1 in 10!

Jeremy Corbyn's policy as far as Trident is concerned is to give MPs a free vote as for most people the use of Nuclear weapons is a matter of conscience. Many people would put Nuclear Weapons in the same category as chemical weapons , not to be used ever because of the damage to the world.

The most left wing Labour Leader Clement Atlee had a landslde victory because WW2 had taught the country the invaluable lesson that we all need to look after each other.

I think we have had enough of judging leaders by their PR skills, or their ability to shout - we now need to grow up and judge leaders on their policies and whether they will benefit the vast majority of the population not just the favoured few.

Corbyn’s 10 pledges

1) Full employment and an economy that works for all: based around a £500bn public investment via the planned national investment bank.
2) A secure homes guarantee: building 1m new homes in five years, at least half of them council homes. Also rent controls and secure tenancies.
3) Security at work: includes stronger employment rights, an end to zero hours contracts and mandatory collective bargaining for companies with 250 or more employees.
4) Secure our NHS and social care: end health service privatisation and bring services into a “secure, publicly-provided NHS”.
5) A national education service: includes universal public childcare, the “progressive restoration” of free education, and quality apprenticeships.
6) Action to secure our environment: includes keeping to Paris climate agreement, and moving to a “low-carbon economy” and green industries, in part via national investment bank.
7) Put the public back into our economy and services: includes renationalising railways and bringing private bus, leisure and sports facilities back into local government control.
8) Cut income and wealth inequality: make a progressive tax system so highest paid are “fairly taxed”, shrink the gap between the highest and lowest paid.
9) Peace and justice at the heart of foreign policy: aims to put conflict resolution and human rights “at the heart of foreign policy”.“fairly taxed”, shrink the gap between the highest and lowest paid.
10) Action to secure an equal society: includes action to combat violence against women, as well as discrimination based on race, sexuality or disability, and defend the Human Rights Act.

Not sure where exactly is this mythical middle ground. Do you mean we need a Conservative look alike party? so people can say they can't tell one from t'other, they're all alike?

As I said Atlee , arguably the most left wing Labour Leader - won a huge majority (despite fighting against the War time Conservative leader Churchill.)

He brought in the NHS, Legal Aid, Sickness and Unemployment Benefit, large House building provision, great improvements in pensions, nationalised the Railways etc., Workers' rights, family allowances - not dissimilar to the sort of things Corbyn wants to do.

Perhaps his policies will be popular too. The readers of the Daily Telegraph apparently liked many of them when the DT surveyed them.

Its only mythical to the extent Labour fail to appreciate it. They need to appeal to the lower middle classes and the people who didnt vote for them last time. Kavour has just mived further left, they talk about nationalisation, they come across as higher taxes and more spending, anti business. Corbyn is a very weak leader who appeals just to his cronies.

We will soon find out, but imo they will not win. Btw Atlees time, then Britain were a very different country.
Lol I stopped supporting Labour when I found out that they are actually communist. They are just jealous of high net worth individuals who have worked their guts off and who were once workers and cannot stand to see success. Honestly, socialism & communism needs to DIE.

Labour only supports the short term growth of a worker, what happens when the worker earns 50k and bonuses? and has a strong degree/good job?

Their answer to life is just TAX the rich while stupid FAT workers sit at home, jobless because they are 1) sh1t 2) lazy 3) love soaking the rich and being an abuser to the benefit system.

COMMUNISM & SOCIALISM WILL DIE.

In terms of unity, Corbyn needs to reshuffle his cabinet so that members/supporter's views are represented well and IMO I would get rid of John McDonnell if I was Corbyn because he was the one who abused non-Corbyn supporting MPs and for him to continue without apology is unacceptable.
The reshuffling that has happened already has been due to the mass resignations, rather than Corbyn selecting allies only. He has had to create a shadow cabinet out of those willing to serve. He can hardly sack those that have supported him, and the remainder of the places can only be taken by those that previously opposed him, as that is all that is left. Your view of John McDonnell seems a bit one sided, as he has been attacked relentlessly, by some MPs and the media. Is he not allowed to fight back?
As a person firmly positioned in the "Middle", Labour is clearly not the party for me. Lack of forward thinking in business, social issues, immigration and crime makes the party look disinteresting to me.

The last Labour government was atrocious. Leaving the country in debt with a note saying "all the money's gone" which was later described as a "joke". I don't think that destroying an economy is a joke but obviously Labour's last government did. And with Jeremy Corbyn reelected it clearly shows how lost the party has become. A marxist prime minister is all this country needs to carry on with where Labour left off.

From your comment I would put you on the right not the middle.
Corbyn will be good for real business because he will put more money into circulation and in peoples pockets, which they will spend in our businesses. He will also invest in infrastrucure generating more business. The Tories are good if you are very rich, have lots of shares and don't need to work.
Corbyn actually cares about social issues. the Tories just regard them as an expense.
Corbyn wants to tackle the route cause of problems associated with immigration. the Tories just want to blame immigrants, and cut more services.
Corbyn wants to tackle poverty which breeds crime. the Tories would rather just lock people up and make money out of it.

I'm not surprised. The way loads of Corbynites - especially Momentum - turn on even fellow Labourites who don't hero worship Corbyn like they do is genuinely vicious. I've heard quite a few accounts of Labour members being abused at branch meetings etc by these people.

Somebody needs to learn a thing about inflation, I suggest you look up hyperinflation, there are plenty of examples, perhaps Weimar Germany? Maybe Hungary? Maybe we should look at Corbyn's beloved Soviet Union? Maybe the best known to the average Joe, Zimbabwe?

It seems your argument is that we shouldn't make ordinary people better off as it may cause inflation.
There have been many events over the last low-inflation period which should have triggered hyper-inflation by now but haven't. The 2008 crash caused by the banks not government spending. Out of control government borrowing by all Parties. High employment. Massive swings in the value of the pound.
What is stopping inflation is that the wealth, which would be the victim of inflation, is held so dis-proportionally by the wealthy, who really control what happens. Governments around the world owe so much money, they would all immediately go bust if interest rates go up, which they would with inflation. There will be no hyperinflation. Corbyn's proposed £500bn investment, won't even tickle the trillions held by the wealthy, that is just sat doing nothing.
