My line manager got an email asking him to confirm my start date and his contact telephone number, that was about it. They did contact one of my personal referees but not the other. How are you getting on, any further along?

Cheers for that. Yeh I've everything all away and the access NI certificate has been sent directly to them. I emailed them today to ask if they contact my current employer as I'd like to know first and let my boss know so it's not as much of a slap in the face kind of thing haha. Still undecided if I just tell him tomorrow I have a provisional offer and what his feelings are on it.

So you know your start date then?

No Cass, no date yet, waiting for access NI to complete first (straight to HMRC as well). I'm thinking mid November (hoping?)..... I have to give a month notice! I'm sure you'll not be too far ahead of me, lol. I'm saying nothing until my formal offer. Did you get O or HO offer?

Hopefully sooner for me. I only have to give 2 weeks haha. Mine was from the graduate application last November. Think it's just at O grade.

Me too. I have to follow CS staff handbook notice period though I suspect that my role will dictate not being asked to actually work my notice. Usually hand in kit, i.d. Card and escorted off the premises with a good luck handshake, lol. Then again, I could be the first lucky sod they make work till the last day.....

Who else is just waiting on access NI?

Just hearing back from the DBS application would be progress for me 8-)

We don't do DBS (formerly CRB) in NI, we do AccessNi Jamz. I forget what the initial statements form was called, but I'm fairly sure it wasn't DBS (which mainland uses). Have you tried chasing up via CSR?

As Kez said before, there are 3 campaigns going at the moment, maybe they are just processing those from Graduate TSP 2016 first? Which campaign did you apply through?

I applied for the TSP last november and have been offered an HO position as a tax professional. Received the provisional offer on the 23rd August (with health form etc returned that same day or the next), but havent heard a thing since then! Mainly frustrating in the sense that i hate my current job and cant wait to move and start this new one haha. Hoping I'll be in by Christmas.. is that a realistic hope? 😃

Im fairly certain the thing I filled in on CSR was a DBS form not Access NI

Absolutely no chance unless you are internal. I had my provisional offer on 12 August forms sent off on 11 September heard nothing since. It will be January at the earliest given that they haven't even sent the forms off yet apparently and it takes 20 working days at least when they do eventually do it

Well that's disheartening.. haha but oh well. Should be worth the wait once I get there!

I know. Especially when you need to find somewhere else to live and your in limbo for months whilst they carry out checks ( or not) They must think people can put their life on hold whilst they decide if they want to employ you

AccessNI form email received yesterday and sent off yesterday. Be about a week/8 days before they confirm checks have been completed. Not too long now!

Hey Cass. If you log back into AccessNI, you can track status of application. My certificate was issued yesterday 😀

Cheers. Mine was sent directly to them near a week ago now  wondered where the other person got a week 8 days from completion of checks. If that was for all pre employment checks or just the access NI one

I haven't even heard anything about AccessNI forms. I had to click 'Next Stage' and fill in info I thought I was for the DBS check about 10 days ago, along with the Health Declaration and have heard nothing since.

I've sent an email stating my unhappiness at the way things are going as I am in the same situation. I've just said I'm aware other people have their employment checks near complete and mine haven't even started. Not exactly fair!
