It was the last universe collapsing in on itself down to a single point. Go ahead and prove me wrong...

What created the last universe?

What created the last universe?

The previous Big Bang.

Can you see where this is going?

What created the last universe?

The destruction of the previous universe. It's eternal, just like your phoney-baloney god.

What? I'm communicating with you at your level, like kneeling down to speak to a toddler.
ooo i learnt about this about 2 years ago, lets see how much i can remember XD

So if we assume there is no god (not gonna share my opinion here, i dont know if there is one or not) there are a couple of theories.
Our universe couldve been created by two other universes colliding (pretty sure that's wrong/REALLY vague detail)....
dammit i thought i knew more XD
However recently i learned about the meaning of the famous equation E=mc^2 (nerd alert :P)
it means a small amount of mass can be converted to a lot of energy and vice versa, but this only applies to atoms... HOWEVER we discovered there is a lot more matter than antimatter and when antimatter collides with corresponding matter it releases energy. so before the big bang there must have been an equal amount of both, and they happened to collide in such a way that these odd proportions were sheerly random but the energy was released in doing so (big bang).

Last thing though. I am only an A level student, i dont specialise in disproving God's existence and im kinda extrapolating on what i know so dont think im like "ha i know everything, God's fake" cause this is purely my speculation. If you think its nonsense maybe research it a bit or ignore this. idm

ah, so you can't give an answer right? Oh, and you result in pettiness. I didn't expect much tho tbf lol
In all honesty, we don't know yet. What we do know is that assuming we already have all the answers leads to stagnation, we need to keep pursuing knowledge rather than assuming we have the answer to a question we don't even fully understand. Remember that we had no idea how human beings came into existence, now we do. We didn't know where diseases came from, now we do. We don't know how universes begin, eventually we will. To accept that some god(s) did it is to give up and create more questions than answers.
The laws of physics that the universe obeys were created along with the universe itself. There are likely other universes with different laws, physical constants, etc.

The important law is one of thermodynamics, which - in layman's terms - states that you cannot create something from nothing. This is a law of physics. However, as stated before, the laws of physics are of this universe. Therefore we can hypothesize that before this universe existed, this universe's laws of physics did not exist either.

This means that before this universe existed, there was no law that said that you cannot create something from nothing. This universe sprang into existence from nothing, because there was no law to prohibit that at the moment of creation.

You don't have to have a god for something to come from nothing. Hell, quantum particles spring spontaneously into existence and then annihilate even in this universe.

The initial singularity is where the Big Bang originated. Until such a time we are able to replicate the Big Bang within a simulation, we will be unable to observe the intricacies of the Big Bang. This does not mean the argument of the Big Bang is invalid.

if space and time are the medium for causation, how can you "cause" space and time before space and time have existed? your question makes no sense.

it could be very possible that the universe did just randomly come into existence with literally *no* causal logic or explanation. the universe is the container of cause and effect chains, but who is to say that the universe must be governed by the rules *within* itself when it doesn't exist inside itself like matter (the universe isn't matter, so how can it be "caused"?) but to say that a god created it - we would have to say "this is just how god works - strangely" - but we already have a relatively strange universe that can create itself from nothing - so what good is a god within this theory? he is literally a non-existent builder with no bricks or tools. he's as pathetic as it gets.

The universe was created by the energy evolved from KINGYusuf's fingers as he aggressively trolled TSR which proceeded to burst into successive supernovas that gave rise to the cosmos as we now know it.

It's just a theory though.

Not knowing doesn't mean God did it. That's just the boring God of the Gaps fallacy.
Original post by KINGYusuf
Nope. God has no beginning nor end. Nice try.

Yet all things must be created, apparently.

One could just as easily counter the question with 'Who created/is responsible for God?'.

Your arrogance suggests that you've made this merely to have a reaction and not to stimulate conversation.

Distasteful.

The better counter would be "When will the zealot say 'I don't know'?"
